The field is set for Georgia’s U.S. Senate race in November.
U.S. Rep. Mike Collins defeated former football coach Derek Dooley in the Republican primary runoff to win the GOP nomination. He will face incumbent Jon Ossoff, who did not face a Democratic primary challenge and has been raising big bucks for the general election battle.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has collected the top polls and predictions for the general election. Here’s what they show.
Early polls
Fox News released the first poll since Collins secured the Republican nomination and it shows Ossoff with a solid lead. Another poll had the race within the margin of error. Earlier polls conducted before Collins’ runoff win also showed the Ossoff ahead when voters were asked about a hypothetical matchup.
Election predictions
Expert political forecasters think the race in November will be tight, but two give Ossoff an edge.
