It was the Jelani Hamilton show on Saturday, as the sophomore guard poured in a career-high 38 points to help lead Georgia State to an 82-81 victory over Arkansas State.

Hamilton, who scored nearly half the Panthers’ total points, shot 12-of-21 from the field and added six 3-pointers and four steals for the Panthers (9-12, 6-3 Sun Belt Conference).

Joah Chappelle scored 13 points and Micah Tucker was the only other starter for the Panthers to finish in double digits, scoring 10 points.

Christian Harmon led the way for the Red Wolves (13-8, 5-4) with 23 points. Arkansas State also got 14 points from Kyle Hayman. Chandler Jackson also had 11 points and six assists.
