The NBA draft has arrived.
It’s one of the most anticipated drafts in years, and the Hawks have two picks in the first round: Nos. 8 and 23. They’re in position to get at least one player for the rotation next season, and there’s a possibility they could trade up to get a more prominent player or trade down to get more assets.
The NBA draft is on us, with the first round commencing Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ESPN. This is projected to be one of the deepest draft classes, with BYU's AJ Dybantsa predicted to be the No. 1 pick, followed by Kansas' Darryn Peterson.
The Hawks have the No. 8 and No. 23 picks, and although they are in position to get a significant addition to the roster, there's some consideration they could trade up or trade down.
Follow along as the AJC chronicles the draft and where the Hawks end up.
