Postponed games

At least two games were postponed Friday night due to weather. Colquitt County will now host Monroe Saturday at 10 a.m. and Cairo-Worth County is rescheduled for Sept. 25.

Sandy Creek defeats Douglas County 21-0

Sandy Creek QB Caleb Hill ran through a defender and one of his offensive linemen to grab a 14-0 lead over Douglas County.

The Patriots drove straight down the field after a long lightning delay, reviving the momentum they had before the inclement weather.

Sandy Creek went on to defeat Douglas County 21-0.

Cedar Shoals snapped a 22-game losing streak with its first victory since 2023, a 33-17 final over Seckinger.

Jeff Davis takes statement win over Clinch County

Jeff Davis didn't just beat Clinch County in a game where it entered as a one-point underdog.

The Yellowjackets dominated the Panthers 24-7. It was the teams' first game against each other since 1977.

Long TD catch from UGA receiver commit forces OT

Mount Vernon receiver and UGA commitment Taurean Rawlins showed off his speed with his second touchdown catch of the night. It tied the game at 28 with less than 90 seconds remaining.

Mount Vernon and Whitefield Academy are headed to overtime.

Lee County takes 23-20 win over Miami Carol City

Lee County shocked Miami Carol City in the second half, scoring 15 unanswered points to win a massive out-of-state matchup. The Trojans improved to 2-0 after dominating Class 2A runner-up Hapeville Charter 51-0 last week.

Northeast of Macon rattles off 20 unanswered, takes lead in local non-region battle

Northeast of Macon took its first lead of the night over Warner Robins with less than four minutes remaining. The Raiders scored 20 unanswered points to take the lead.

Newton claims statement win over Roswell

Newton and Roswell appeared to be evenly matched through the first half.

Then the Rams took off in the second half, outscoring the Hornets 28-0 in the second half for a 42-15 win.

Milton botches timing on go-ahead field goal attempt, falls by one point

Milton lined up for a field goal attempt that would have given the Eagles a 23-21 lead with less than a minute remaining. 

But only half of the team seemed to be prepared ready for the kick when the snap hit the holder's hands. Milton's kicker appeared to be caught off guard, and the play fell apart on a turnover on downs.

Blessed Trinity beat Milton 21-20.

Jackson County needed every ounce of its high-powered offense in a shootout win over Dacula, 43-35.
