From visual arts to music to theater, the metro Atlanta area has an active arts scene offering something for nearly everyone. This upcoming week, highlights include Atlanta Shakespeare Company’s “Much Ado About Nothing” as well as a night of performances, dancing and more at the Aurora Theatre, which will reveal its 31st season. The following dozen events will help you explore Atlanta’s arts and culture in the upcoming week.

“Getting It Together”

Echo Contemporary Art presents the work of 15 fiber-based artists in the group exhibition “Getting It Together.” The artists featured are Anna Lee Burnstein, Camisha Butler, Erica Jean Wise, Eve Brown, Julia Nieves, Julie Fordham, Kenya Freeman, Kieta Rose, Melanie Shaw, Meredith Anne White, Rachel Myrick, Rebecca Coll, Sloane Frederick, Tree Lyiness and Veronique Vanblaere.

Reverón Piano Trio

The trio of Simon Gollo on violin, Horacio Contreras on cello and pianist Ana Maria Otamendi, known for helping reshape the landscape of chamber music with underrepresented music from Latin America, will perform.

Jazz Legacy Project: A Tribute to Horace Silver

Red Clay Foundry’s monthly Jazz Legacy Project continues with a tribute to Horace Silver, the pianist, composer and arranger who helped pioneer the hard bop style of the 1950s.

Emory University Symphony Orchestra

Experience African American gospel music, Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 6” (“Pathétique”) and music from Wagner’s “Lohengrin” in a performance by the Emory University Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Paul Bhasin with guest Emorja Roberson.

Stutzmann Conducts Beethoven + Bruckner

Acclaimed Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes makes his debut with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as he plays Beethoven’s “Piano Concerto No. 3.” The ASO will also perform Bruckner’s “Symphony No. 6.”

“The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”

The Georgia Ballet reimagines L. Frank Baum’s classic tale with family-friendly performances highlighting imaginative choreography, vibrant costumes and theatrical storytelling.

“Cinderella”

Gwinnett Ballet Theatre brings the beloved fairy tale “Cinderella” to life accompanied by Prokofiev’s timeless score.

Phenomenon 2026: The Golden Age of Hollywood

Dress in cocktail attire — with Hollywood glam encouraged — to celebrate Aurora Theatre. The night includes performances, dancing, gourmet hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails as well as the reveal of Aurora’s 31st season lineup.

“Much Ado About Nothing”

Atlanta Shakespeare Company will perform Shakespeare’s rom-com that tells the tale of two couples: Benedick, a confirmed bachelor, and the independent Beatrice; and Claudio and Hero, who are victims of devious meddling.

“Minnie Evans: Draw or Die”

The two High Museum of Art screenings of this one-hour documentary film (2025) feature conversations between self-taught artist Minnie Evans and photographer Nina Howell Starr. The High is exhibiting a selection of Evans’ works in “The Lost World: The Art of Minnie Evans” through Sunday, April 19.
