From visual arts to music to theater, metro Atlanta has an active arts scene offering something for nearly everyone. Highlights this upcoming week include performances of “Six” at the Fox Theatre as part of the Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta series and “Turandot,” a new Atlanta Opera production that opens 100 years after its premiere.

Richard Dial: “American Idols”
Johnson Lowe Gallery is hosting new works by Richard Dial, whose metalwork creations in this exhibition mimic the gesture of a pencil line.

Anna Jensen: “Let’s Go Dancing”
This exhibition at the Sun ATL is inspired by the songs of Kevn Kinney, the Atlanta-based songwriter and front man of Drivin N Cryin. Anna Jensen uses saturated color and gestural form to create paintings that carry the songs’ emotional weight, rhythm and narrative undercurrents.

“Isamu Noguchi: ‘I am not a designer’”
This High Museum of Art exhibition explores sculptor Isamu Noguchi’s expansive and career-spanning engagement with the space-shaping possibilities of design in works such as furniture and lighting.

“Whimsy and Joy”
MARTA Artbound, the Atlanta Opera and Midtown Alliance present a concert with singers from the opera company’s stage and a spoken word artist and actor from True Colors Theatre. The performance area is on the concourse level inside the fare gates.

Flores performs Márquez
Five-time Grammy Award-winning conductor Giancarlo Guerrero leads the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a south-of-the-border immersion. Renowned Venezuelan trumpet soloist Pacho Flores will perform a piece written by him as well, as one written for him by Mexico’s Arturo Márquez.

Atlanta Film Festival
The festival will present some 150 Georgia-made and international works representing more than 50 countries. The Creative Conference is also a component of the event and features 40-plus panels, workshops and discussions.

Inman Park Dance Festival
In conjunction with the popular arts festival, the dance festival’s 25th anniversary features a program with a selection of companies and dance schools that will perform and participate in short artist conversations. Participating organizations are Ballethnic, Dance Foundry, Emory University Dance & Movement Studies Program, Full Radius Dance, Monica Hogan Danceworks and Movement Arts Atlanta.

“Turandot”
A new Tomer Zvulun production of Puccini’s “Turandot” opens 100 years after its premiere. This opera follows Prince Calaf’s obsessive quest to win the heart of the icy Princess Turandot and explores courage, identity and love’s transformative power.

“No Tables, No Chairs”

“The Wizard of Oz”: A Concert Experience
