Looking for something fun to do with your family this weekend in metro Atlanta? With the World Cup underway, you’ll find the FIFA Fan Festival adding to the fun and excitement with matches on huge screens, music, fan games and more. And if you’re into country music, Braves Country Fest should be on your calendar with musical performances (some of which are free) and activities such as mechanical bull rides.

FIFA Fan Festival

Celebrate the World Cup in Centennial Olympic Park with games on huge screens, music, fan games, kids’ activities, giveaways, food and more.

Continuing Friday, June 12-Sunday, June 14 (and concluding Sunday, July 19). Free with advance registration. Centennial Olympic Park, 265 Park Ave. SW, Atlanta.

Shop Black Fest

Shop at this outdoor marketplace featuring Black-owned businesses, music, a DJ, food trucks, vendors and community activities.

1-6 p.m. Saturday, June 13. Free general admission. Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark, 830 Willoughby Way NE, Atlanta.

Braves Country Fest

Country music and the Atlanta Braves take the spotlight at this event, with free activities such as mechanical bull rides, tailgate games and Braves pregame entertainment getting the day started. The Hot Prospects Lineup in the Georgia Power Pavillion features performances by Zach John King, Scoot Teasley and Colton Bowlin, and the Truist Park stage includes Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Ernest and Mackenzie Carpenter.

1 p.m. Honky Tonk Block Party at The Battery, 2 p.m. Hot Prospects lineup in the Georgia Power Pavilion, 5 p.m. performances at Truist Park Stage, Saturday, June 13. One Community: A Juneteenth Celebration of Unity

Attendees can meet Kennesaw Police Department officers, enjoy free food, music, games and bouncy houses for kids.

Threads of Freedom Parade

Honor America’s 250th birthday by participating in the parade with any street-legal vehicle or watching as it makes its way from First Baptist Church before finishing at Holbrook Acworth.

Movies at the Strand: “Jaws”

Watch “Jaws,” the groundbreaking thriller from director Steven Spielberg that redefined the summer blockbuster with its masterful suspense and memorable score. The film is rated PG. Arrive 30 minutes early if you’d like to take in a pre-movie concert on the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ.
